Integrity Life Sciences manufactures and distributes its flagship products, the Integrity Spinal Care System 2.0 and Lombare, in medical markets around the globe. Integrity prides itself on providing safe, non-surgical alternatives that patients should consider prior to undergoing surgery

The theory surrounding Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression (NSSD) is that the spine is elongated without causing the muscles that guard the spine to contract. During non-surgical spinal decompression therapy, a negative pressure can be created within the disc. Because of that negative pressure, disc material that has protruded or herniated can be pulled back within the normal confines of the disc, promoting pain relief. Both the ISCS 2.0 and Lombare has been designed to create distraction forces that create these negative pressures thus relieving the pain caused by herniated/bulging disc, degenerative disc disease, posterior facet syndrome and sciatica.

The technology behind our flagship products complements a patient specific treatment plan and is very advanced. The treatment provided by the ISCS 2.0 and Lombare are intended to apply distraction forces to spinal structures in a precise and graduated manner. The goal of non-surgical spinal decompression is to offset the distraction cycles with partial relaxation between cycles. This technique of nonsurgical spinal decompression therapy, that is, unloading due to distraction and positioning, has been documented in clinical research. This documented research reveals a very specialized technique that gently separates the vertebrae from each other, creating a vacuum inside the targeted discs. This “vacuum effect” is also known as negative intra-discal pressure.(1) The benefit of non-surgical spinal decompression is that it provides a non-invasive, non-surgical, drug-free alternative treatment for low back pain, sciatica, disc degeneration, disc bulges, disc herniations, and posterior facet syndrome.

Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression Equipment and Products

The ISCS 2.0 and Lombare are designed to treat the following conditions:

A HERNIATED DISC, also referred to as a protruding or extruded disc, is a condition where a portion of the gel-like center has migrated through the layers of the annulus fibrosis.

Herniated Disk

DEGENERATIVE DISC DISEASE is a state of dehydration and deterioration marked by the gradual erosion of the disc’s ability to distribute and resist mechanical loads.

Degenerative Disc Disease

POSTERIOR FACET SYNDROME is a lower back condition that is characterized by back pain, with or without local tenderness. This pain is often caused by an inflammatory reaction as a result of irritation in the synovial lining of the facet joints. Facets are the posterior joints of the spine that aid in keeping the vertebrae aligned. Facet syndrome can result from injury or degeneration of the disc and is characterized by pain, stiffness, and inflammation. The pain generally increases with motion and is relieved by rest.

Facet Syndrome

SCIATICA is a condition often associated with a herniated or ruptured disc. When the injured disc compresses one of the spinal nerves leading to the sciatic nerve, it can produce a shock-like pain that travels through the buttocks and down one leg to below the knee. Tingling and numbness are common in this condition. Sciatica can occur suddenly, or develop gradually. The pain and symptoms of sciatica can be intensified by coughing, sneezing, or sitting in the same position for prolonged periods of time.
